475-kW solar array now complete atop Miami-area regional library

By the 27th of April, 2023. AGT and Advanced Roofing finished the initial big solar venture backed by Miami-Dade County, situated at the North Dade Regional Library in Miami Gardens, Floria. This project was put together as part of a deal with a DMS contractor and an energy service agreement. It stands as the initial of three trial-size solar initiatives that will be set up in Miami-Dade County before the end of the year. Construction of the photovoltaic systems on the roof of the North Dade Regional Library began in August 2022 and was completed in April 2023. The solar energy system consists of Canadian Solar panels and RSDs, DCE racks, Chint power converters, and a Veris monitor, which, altogether, has an output capacity of 475 kW. It is predicted that the sun’s system will cover 85 percent of the energy consumption of the structure. The South Dade Regional Library and MetroWest Detention Center are projects expected to be finished this year once permits are approved. AGT’s collaboration with Miami Dade County Leadership has proven that solar resources can be rapidly and effectively executed by public administrative entities, states Clint Sockman, Executive Vice President of AGT. This brings huge benefit to the people living in the community and the County, as well as shielding the environment for future generations. A recent article from AGT has been released.
