BioStar Renewables Taps Castillo Engineering for 15 MW Project
Castillo Engineering is working in conjunction with BioStar Renewables to design and engineer a 15 MW solar facility in Kansas. The project makes use of single-axis tracking technology and will be used to furnish a new renewable diesel plant with non-stop energy. The construction of the project is underway and should be finished in the second quarter. The BioStar Renewables chief commercial officer, David Smart, expressed why they chose Castillo Engineering for this project, as they have shown themselves to be a remarkable collaborator on the numerous tasks they have helped them with in multiple states. They pay close attention to details through every step of the design process, and this has enabled us to partner with them so that we can provide sustainable energy for this high-tech renewable diesel plant. The solar system will take the place of the 22 MW steam generator at the facility. Castillo Engineering is undertaking essential issues related to the project, for example connecting to a substation, and organizing the site within a railway voyage which necessitated supervising paths for the conductors, seeking to lessen rail crossings. BioStar Renewables has contracted Castillo Engineering for three more solar projects around the country.
