CertainTeed Launches Solstice Solar Roofing Line
CertainTeed, a subsidiary of Saint-Gobain, has rolled out the Solstice low-profile solar roofing system. This product makes it simpler for roofing contractors to incorporate solar technology into both shingle and traditional roofing systems, whether they are new or existing. In conclusion, Solstice Shingle is an excellent choice for a home’s roof because it offers an attractive appearance and is designed to be robust enough to endure multiple seasons. Additionally, it produces almost the same amount of energy as a rack-mounted solar panel system. The solar panels with a dark hue have a high resistance to hail damage and work efficiently when exposed to scattered light and shadows, thus generating more energy. As energy costs increase and homeowners look for ways to benefit from tax credits and other incentives, solar roofing is becoming a great business opportunity for roofing contractors. Saint-Gobain’s general manager for solar solutions, Phoebe Kwan, confirms that demand for solar roofing is rising. CertainTeed is supporting contractors by providing resources through its Credentialed Solar Installer Program. This includes on-site training, credentialing, productivity programs and digital tools, as well as a 25-year warranty when the shingle is installed by a roofer with the help of an electrician.
