3-phase string inverters are considerably more efficient than central inverters due to their ability to optimize power production at the individual string level, provide flexibility in system installation, and are designed to accommodate varying site conditions and power requirements. Every inverter comes with 30 unfused PV string inputs and 15 MPPTs. Remote product updates, controls, and communication are made possible by the CPS FlexOM system. CPS is thrilled to introduce the new 125/250 C&I ESS Cabinet, 5MWh Battery Energy Storage System, and PCS Skid. With 12 racks of LFP batteries integrated, the 5MWh battery system is a containerized solution with a high energy density for utility applications. It has a cutting-edge liquid cooling system that offers pack-level thermal management that is both successful and efficient. To facilitate easy transportation, installation, and O&M, the battery system is bundled into a 20-foot container. Two standard configurations of the new PCS Skid are available: 2MW and 2.4MW. These are made possible by combining 10 and 12 units of CPS’s 200kW string PCS inverters (CPS ECB200KTL/US-800). The PCS Skid is compatible with CPS’s 5MWh liquid-cooling BESS (CPS ES-5016KWH-US). This solution is characterized by its exceptional integration, encompassing PCS, low voltage BOS and switchgear, auxiliary power supply, communication gateways, and a medium voltage transformer, all tailored for utility ESS applications. The design embodies a modular PCS structure, empowering string-level control, and monitoring of battery systems.
