Generac unveils commercial-scale lithium ESS

By April 12th, 2023. Generac has just released a commercial-scale lithium energy storage system that can pair with their line of gas and diesel generators for extended emergency backup. The SBE battery comes in a range of capacities, from 200 to 1000 kWh, and is available in Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) or Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) chemistries. According to Erik Wilde, Executive VP of Industrial, Americas at Generac, “Today energy management is all about finding balance between reducing carbon emissions, getting the most out of your energy, and ensuring reliable resilience in power systems.” The SBE series demonstrates the state-of-the-art energy techniques from a noteworthy firm who has been giving energy services for over six decades. Generac’s SBE series will be on the market later in 2020.
