Greenskies Clean Focus to install 48-MW solar portfolio for home improvement giant

Lowe’s had chosen Greenskies Clean Focus to deliver a specific, organized method to execute its extensive, ground-based solar energy utilization across a plenteous quantity of Lowe’s California businesses. Greenskies Clean Focus will be taking on the role of planner, builder, financier, and technician of rooftop solar energy systems for fifty-two business locations and two distribution centers in California. Greenskies Clean Focus’ President and CEO, Stanley Chin, is proud to have their 48 MW portfolio provide its customers with up to 76,000 MWh of energy per year, equalling 90% of each location’s power consumption. This features prominently in Lowe’s pledge to utilize 50% renewable energy by 2025. These initiatives demonstrate the ability of sizable conglomerates with multiple locations to install specialized renewable energy systems that will significantly reduce their carbon footprint and lessen their greenhouse gas emissions. Lowe’s and Greenskies are teaming up in a 20-year arrangement that will involve Greenskies supplying Lowe’s with renewable solar energy at a fixed price. The cost of using solar energy will be less expensive than the current pricing of utilities, and will also include a range of environmental benefits. This will allow Lowe’s to reap major savings on energy expenditure, as well as reduce their carbon footprint and become more environmentally friendly in their operations.
