MPSC Approves Plan for Lake Trout Solar Plant
Credit goes to ChristofferRiemer. The plan by Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) to construct their biggest solar farm yet has been given the green light by the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC). The Lake Trout solar plant, which will be owned and managed by I&M, will be located near Montpelier, Indiana. , which will be linked to the electricity network that serves both Michigan and Indiana. The company anticipates that the project will start producing energy by 2026. I&M has entered into a contract with EDF Renewables for the construction of Lake Trout. The firms have been collaborating with officials from Blackford County to make provisions for the plant. I&M is a subsidiary of American Electric Power.
