Our Next Energy Chooses Site for Battery Storage System Manufacturing

Ime Mujeeb Ijaz ONE has officially made an arrangement with the State of West Virginia to build its Aries Grid battery storage system factory in Millwood, occupying 40,000 square feet of space at the Berkshire Hathaway Energy Renewables microgrid business. There is already an industrial building on the Ravenswood site to set up Aries Grid, a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery system that provides a long-term source of energy storage. BHE Renewables had previously partnered with ONE for its microgrid business, and the project in Jackson County is estimated to have a 420 MWh capacity. The venture is seen as a revolutionary step towards renewable energy manufacturing in the United States, and is expected to act as a benchmark for others to emulate, according to Mujeeb Ijaz, who is the CEO and creator of ONE. BHE Renewables’ dedication to an area in West Virginia and promotion of the state has enabled ONE’s first Aries Grid factory to open, providing further career prospects and investment opportunities that may result in an improved, clean manufacturing system. It is anticipated that the manufacturing plant will begin functioning in 2025, and the hiring process should commence in 2021.
