Partners Wrap Up 270 MW of Solar in Central Texas

Mario Azar. BAES Infrastructure and Black & Veatch have now finished building two utility-scale solar installations – known as Crown and Sol – in Falls County, Texas. They are expected to become operational this month with a total output of 270 MW DC. The majority of the energy produced (80%) will be bought by LyondellBasell. When building these projects, more than 600,000 photovoltaic modules were put in place and over 650,000 man-hours were worked, with Black and Veatch supplying the engineering, procurement, and construction services. Mario Azar, the chairman and CEO of Black & Veatch, mentioned that this project demonstrates the company’s commitment to supporting their clients in achieving a low-carbon future. BAES Infrastructure’s interest in the energy transition is also highlighted by the initiative.
