Plenitude to Acquire Three PV Parks From EDPR
Plenitude has solidified a deal with EDP Renováveis to acquire an 80% equity interest in a collection of operational photovoltaic (PV) projects situated in the U.S. The portfolio includes The Cattlemen in Texas, Timber Road and Blue Harvest both based in Ohio, boasting a combined capacity of 340 MW AC. The Plenitude’s share amounts to more than 1,500 hectares and it’s predicted to produce over 800 GWh each year. The acquisition demonstrates Plenitude’s inaugural venture into Ohio’s PJM1 energy market with already functioning, mid-to-large scale projects and further strengthens the firm’s establishment in Texas, asserts Plentitude’s CEO Stefano Goberti. The deal enables Plenitude to achieve more than 1.2 GW of deployed capacity in the U.S., thus advancing towards the worldwide objective of 7 GW by 2026. At present, Plenitude has around 3 GW capacity from renewable energy sources installed.
