rPlus Developing 200 MW Project for Idaho Power, Meta

Urvi Parekh mi je znan. rPlus Energies recently made a deal with Idaho Power to purchase electricity from a newly constructed 200 MW solar power plant known as Pleasant Valley Solar located in Ada County, Idaho for the long term. The project awarded by Idaho Power and Meta is the largest solar facility in Idaho Power’s system. This energy services agreement designed by both parties will help Meta to access renewable energy sources to fuel their new data center in Kuna, Idaho. Urvi Parekh, in charge of renewable energy at Met, stated that the organization is dedicated to reducing their environmental impact in the places they work and reside, and a significant part of that is creating and running energy-efficient data centers with renewable energy. One of the key reasons for settling on Idaho for our data center’s relocation in 2022 was the availability of renewable energy, and Meta is delighted to cooperate with Idaho Power and rPlus Energies to generate more environmentally friendly energy for the Treasure Valley power grid. Sundt Renewables has been chosen by rPlus Energies for supplying engineering, procurement, and construction services. Sundt brings substantial know-how to the area, such as the 80 MW Graphite Solar venture that they aided in creating in Carbon County, Utah, and it began to generate electricity in June of 2022. At the moment they are in the process of constructing a 200 MW Appaloosa Solar 1 in Iron County, Utah. Construction of Pleasant Valley Solar is expected to commence later this year.
