Scale Microgrids Acquires Over 100 MW in Projects

The name Julian Torres was mentioned. Scale Microgrids has stated that they will be buying more than 100 megawatts of solar projects in their late stages of development from CSG-Gutam in New York. This agreement with Gutami, a Dutch-based international clean energy producer, provides enough energy to supply more than 15,000 dwellings. This arrangement is part of the Scale project that is aiding New York to reach its aim of having a zero-emission electricity industry by 2040. This portfolio of community solar is estimated to generate 70% renewable energy by 2030 and reach carbon neutrality on a wide-scale. According to Julian Torres, Scale’s chief investment officer, this has the potential to decrease annual carbon dioxide emissions by up to 160,000 tons, helping to make progress towards our goal of providing the planet with clean, decentralized energy.
