Tuesday, February 14th, 2023 – Spread the news! This is an announcement to the public. Today, the US Environmental Protection Agency disclosed information about the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund included in the Inflation Reduction Act. Abigail Ross Hopper, president and CEO of the Solar Energy Industries Association, issued a response to this new directive. We are pleased that the EPA has taken steps to initiate the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund. This initiative will provide grants and other financial help to low-income and disadvantaged groups in order to enable them to obtain solar energy. Introducing this information is expected to expedite the greening of the national energy grid and also bring additional investments to disadvantaged communities. This should provide an advantage with the passing of the Inflation Reduction Act. We anticipate working with the Biden administration in order to progress toward environmental justice and evenhandedness in the renewable energy sector”. What is SEIA (R)?
