SolarReviews Survey Finds Installers Bullish on Prospects for 2023

Andrew Sendy is the name. The 2022 Solar Industry Survey conducted by SolarReviews reported that 63% of residential installers have seen an increase in demand, with 73% anticipating higher sales in 2023. Andrew Sendy, the President of SolarReviews, stated that the survey provided crucial information on how the industry has grappled with various issues brought about by the Inflation Reduction Act. Several key trends arising from the survey results were revealed. About a third of people are planning to utilize the Section 48 Investment Tax Credit for the first time. 81% of companies offer energy storage installation and 67% offer electric vehicle charger installation; 63% have both services available. Approximately two-thirds of all participants noted that the severity of supply-chain issues in 2022 were the same or higher than in 2021. Approximately 38% of respondents were uncertain about whether to take advantage of the Inflation Reduction Act’s low-income benefits until the official advice was made available (the directions were disseminated while responses were still being collected). Roughly a third of those surveyed stated that they would not increase their range of services for those in lower income brackets, and that the introduced incentives had no bearing on their business. This research was done between February 6 and March 3, with comments and thoughts being gathered from approximately 450 individuals scattered across America that were involved in the solar industry.
